Read-only email
Gmail and Outlook are connected read-only. Compound can't send, delete or change mail, and only keeps orders, receipts and travel bookings. You can limit it to one label.
Encrypted tokens
Bank and email access tokens are encrypted at rest with server-held keys and never reach your browser or phone.
Row-level security
Every table is protected by database row-level security, so a household can only ever read its own rows.
Kid-safe roles
Children get Travel and Shopping, never balances, fares, card numbers or anyone else's purchases.

Questions, answered.
Why a waitlist?
Compound is in private beta. Connecting Gmail at scale requires Google's CASA security assessment, and bank linking needs Plaid's production review. We're letting households in gradually while those complete.
Which accounts can I connect?
Banks, credit cards and loans through Plaid; brokerages and retirement accounts through SnapTrade or Plaid; plus manual assets like your home, a car or private equity. Company stock grants (RSUs, ESPP) are tracked by lot so gains are accurate.
Can Compound move my money?
No. Access to financial accounts is read-only. Compound shows balances, holdings and transactions; it never initiates transfers or trades.
Does Compound tell me what to buy?
No. It shows how your holdings compare with an index, with similar companies and with the wider market, using your own buys and market prices. That's reference information for you to weigh, not investment advice, and Compound can't place trades.
Does it read all of my email?
No. Access is read-only, and Compound only keeps messages that are orders, shipping and returns, receipts, travel bookings and loyalty statements. Everything else is skipped. You can restrict it to a single label or folder and disconnect at any time.
What can my kids see?
Children get their own login with Travel and Shopping only: their trips, their sizes, their own purchases. No net worth, balances, fares or card numbers, ever. Adults see money; the owner manages roles.
What does the AI agent do with my data?
Ask answers questions using your household's own data, scoped to what your role can see. Your data is only sent to model providers to answer your question, and it isn't used to train models.
Is there an iPhone app?
Yes, a native iPhone app with push notifications (spending alerts, trip reminders), plus the full web app on any device.
Can my family see where I am?
Only if your household turns on Family Locator. Adults share their current location only; a child's last 7 days of places are kept, then deleted. The owner can switch it off for everyone, and nothing is shared outside your household.
How much will it cost?
It's free during the private beta. We'll announce pricing well before anyone is asked to pay, and you can disconnect accounts or delete your data at any time.
